“Beyond Borders” (2003)

“Beyond Borders” is a 2003 romantic-drama, starring Angelina Jolie, that tells the story of two humanitarian aid workers and lovers, set in the backdrop of a war-torn Ethiopia. Aimed at reflecting Jolie’s real-life interest and passion in promoting humanitarian relief around the world, the film was simultaneously released along with her published, “Notes from My Travels,” a written collection of her experiences as a Goodwill ambassador for the UNHCR.
